Overview

In a business, a failed aircon isn't discomfort — it's lost revenue

When a home aircon fails, someone has an uncomfortable night. When a restaurant's kitchen unit fails on a Friday in December, the kitchen becomes unworkable and the evening's bookings evaporate. When a server room's cooling fails, hardware starts throttling and then dying.

That changes what matters. Redundancy becomes worth paying for. Scheduled maintenance stops being optional. Response time becomes the number you actually care about — and "we'll get to you next week" is not an answer a business can accept.

We work with offices, retail floors, restaurants, salons, medical rooms and server rooms across Johannesburg. The technical work is the same trade; the priorities are completely different, and we plan accordingly.

In detail

What commercial work involves that residential doesn't

Bigger isn't the difference. Consequences are.

Proper load calculation

A room full of people, monitors, lighting, ovens or servers is generating heat continuously. Sizing a commercial system on floor area alone is how you end up with a system that can't hold temperature by two in the afternoon. We calculate the heat load from occupancy, equipment, glazing and orientation.

System choice: multi-split or ducted

Multi-split runs several indoor units off one outdoor unit — flexible, zoned, and simpler to retrofit into an existing building. Ducted hides everything in the ceiling and delivers a cleaner look and even distribution, at the cost of more installation work upfront. Which is right depends on your ceiling void, your layout and how much of the building you can shut down during installation.

Zoning and control

A boardroom that's empty all morning shouldn't be cooled all morning. A server room needs cooling at 2am on a Sunday. Zoning is where the running-cost savings live in a commercial building, and it's the part most often ignored.

Working around trading hours

Drilling, dust and technicians on ladders are incompatible with a working office or a full restaurant. We routinely install over weekends and after hours so that Monday morning arrives with cool air and no evidence anyone was there.

Maintenance contracts

Commercial units run far more hours in dirtier air than domestic ones. Six-monthly servicing is the baseline; kitchens and workshops often need more. A contract means scheduled visits, priority breakdown response and a predictable annual cost instead of a series of emergencies.

Benefits

What businesses get from working with us

The technical work is table stakes. These are the things that decide whether you'd use us again.

01

Zero lost trading days

Installation over a weekend or after hours. Your staff and customers walk into a finished job, not a building site.

02

A system designed, not guessed

Heat-load calculations from occupancy, equipment and glazing — so it still holds temperature on the worst afternoon of the year.

03

Predictable annual cost

A maintenance contract converts a series of surprise emergencies into a scheduled, budgeted line item.

04

Priority breakdown response

Contract clients go to the front of the queue. In December, that difference is worth a great deal.

05

Lower running costs

Correct zoning, correct sizing and inverter technology. On a building-wide system this compounds into real money.

06

One accountable contractor

We design it, install it and maintain it. Nobody to point at when something isn't right.

Why us for this

Why building managers keep our number

Commercial clients don't stay with a contractor because of the quote. They stay because the contractor answered the phone in December, and because nothing they installed has come back to bite.

We're small enough that you deal with the same people every time — the person who designed your system is the person who arrives when something's wrong with it, and they already know your building.

One team, one job cardNo subcontractors wandering through your premises

Priority response for contract clientsWhen it fails, you're not in a queue behind everyone else

Documented maintenanceCertificates and reports for compliance and insurers

Honest lifecycle adviceWhen a system is at end of life, we say so early

Our process

How a commercial project runs

Design, quote, install, maintain. With as little disruption as it's possible to cause.

01

Site visit and brief

We walk the space, take measurements, look at the ceiling void, power supply and where condensers can realistically go.

02

Design and written proposal

Heat-load calculations, system options with running-cost comparisons, and a fixed price with a timeline.

03

Installation, scheduled around you

Weekends, evenings, or phased floor by floor. Agreed before we start, not negotiated during.

04

Commissioning and maintenance

Full commissioning, staff walkthrough of the controls, and a maintenance schedule so it stays that way.

We had them fit four units across the office. They worked on a Saturday so we didn't lose a trading day, and they cleaned up so well you couldn't tell they'd been there.

Ask us a question
Can you install without shutting our business down?

In almost all cases, yes. We schedule the disruptive work — drilling, core-holing, ceiling access — for evenings or weekends, and phase larger projects area by area. It's agreed with you before we start, and it's in the quote.

Multi-split or ducted — which do we need?

Multi-split is more flexible and easier to retrofit into an occupied building; ducted looks cleaner and distributes air more evenly but needs ceiling void and more installation work. We'll tell you which suits your building and your budget after a site visit, and we'll be honest if the cheaper option is the better one.

What does a maintenance contract include?

Scheduled servicing — six-monthly as standard — of every unit on site, priority response for breakdowns, documented reports for compliance and insurance, and a fixed annual cost rather than a series of unpredictable callouts.

Can you cool a server room?

Yes. Server rooms are continuous-duty and failure means downtime, so the design conversation is different: redundancy, monitoring and appropriate capacity for a 24/7 heat load rather than an occupied-hours one.

Do you work with restaurants and kitchens?

Regularly. Kitchens foul coils fast with airborne grease, so the servicing interval is shorter and the cleaning is more thorough. We also understand that Friday night is not a time to be on a ladder in your dining room.

Can you take over maintenance of a system someone else installed?

Yes. We'll do an initial assessment, tell you honestly what condition it's in and what was done badly, and then put it on a proper schedule.
