Where the East Rand meets the northern suburbs
Edenvale occupies an unusual position: geographically East Rand, but with the character and commercial pull of Johannesburg's eastern suburbs. The Greenstone retail and residential development, the redevelopment of Modderfontein, the Sebenza light-industrial belt and the older residential streets of Eastleigh, Dowerglen and Illiondale all sit within a few minutes of each other.
For us that means an unusually varied workload. In a single week we might service a retail cassette system near Greenstone, repair a split unit in a 1960s Eastleigh house, and quote a small office park in Sebenza.
Edenvale is also extremely well positioned relative to our other coverage — close to Kempton Park, Germiston and the eastern side of Johannesburg — which means we get here quickly.

Commercial Edenvale is busy and varied. Retail and restaurants around the Greenstone node run long trading hours with cassette and ducted systems that cannot be worked on during business. Almost certainly the condensate pump on a ceiling cassette, or its float switch. They clog with dust and biological growth, the water has nowhere to go, and it finds the ceiling tile. It's a quick fix once we're there — and if it's happened more than once, the system isn't being serviced often enough.
Can you service our retail units outside trading hours?
Yes, and we'd prefer to. Ladders, drop sheets and a technician with a vacuum have no place on a shop floor during business hours. Evenings and Sundays are normal for our retail clients.
My condenser is close to my neighbour's window in a cluster complex. Will it be a problem?
It doesn't have to be. Modern inverter condensers are considerably quieter than older fixed-speed units, and anti-vibration mounts plus sensible positioning handle most of the rest. If an existing unit has grown noisier over time, that's usually a fan bearing failing — and that's fixable.
How often should I service an aircon in Sebenza?
More often than a suburban home. Workshop air carries particulate that fouls a condenser coil quickly. Six-monthly is a sensible baseline for anything in the industrial belt, and we'll show you the coil to explain why.

Is my aircon worth servicing if it's ten years old?
Almost always yes. Ten years is not old for a well-maintained unit — it's only old for a neglected one. A proper coil clean, drain flush and electrical check frequently restore performance that the owner assumed was gone for good, for a fraction of the cost of replacement.
